How to read bus timetables

Words

• 予定 (よてい) 時刻 (じこく) 表 (ひょう) yoteijikokuhyou = Scheduled timetable
• 平日 (へいじつ) heijitsu = weekdays
• 土曜 (どよう) doyou = Saturday
• 休日 (きゅうじつ) kyuujitsu = Sunday and Japanese holidays
• 行先（いきさき） ikisaki = destination
• 〜行（いき） ~iki = to go ~

Japanese buses have different operating hours depending on 平日 (へいじつ) (weekdays), 土曜 (どよう) (Saturdays), and 休日 (きゅうじつ) (holiday).

• The leftmost column is the time.
• Japan uses 24-hour notation for time.
• The numbers written below 平日 (へいじつ) (weekdays), 土曜 (どよう) (Saturdays), and 休日 (きゅうじつ) (holidays) are minutes.

Japanese buses don't tend to be late, but the time can be affected by traffic lights etc.
